Welcome! Thank you for joining for the 30 Days Of Yoga experience! Watch this video before you begin! For the free daily email, sign up here: http://yogawithadriene.com/30days/

It includes helpful ideas and tips to support you on your journey! Today we begin with this video! Tomorrow – DAY 1 of YOGA.

As we transition into the New Year I already feel great about the idea of practicing for 30 days straight. I feel excited about challenging myself, connecting to myself and learning something new. I am grateful that my body is able to move, that my breath is capable of deepening and I love that I will be doing it with so many others, around the globe.

The hardest part each day will likely be getting on the mat. Make time. Stay focused and choose to make the experience your own. This 30 Day practice is intended to support you in finding what feels good in the New Year. So, though it may be challenging to make time for your practice – just do it – knowing that it is okay to adapt, change, modify, rebel and do your own thang at any time.

But get on the mat.

Take conscious breaths and stretch each day as a way of connecting to your intentions, your big picture and ultimately, complete wellness.

Why not? Let's reach for the stars!

  1. wow, I don’t do yoga, but was planning to start on the first – I’m so happy you’re talking about this! It makes my life easier and will motivate me 🙂

  2. This is so exciting! Feel so blessed that so many on the Internet offers free help to find themselves in different ways, and start their journey to becoming their best version of themselves. At least I’m ready to become the best version of myself. Thank you so, so much for giving me (and everyone else) this opportunity to connect with the earth with guidance from you <3 I'll go through the beginners videos to just make sure I'm all ready! Again: THANK YOU!

    1. what Aicha said she said it perfectly thank you for giving me this opportunity i can’t wait to try it tonight when my little angel is asleep thank you again 🙂

  3. oh wow! Just the way you explained it and the way you formed your words was so inspiring and motivating Adriene! You are truly an awesome person! Cannot wait for this to start! Thank you for #30daysofyoga  Namaste! <3

  4. So excited to try this. Thankyou so much for the VERY non-intimdating intro!! I hav so many limitations and have just about given up on being able to do yoga, except for your 18 minute digestion practice, which I do quite often. Love your energy! Thankyou so much!! Blessings!

  5. I am so grateful for this challenge! I love yoga! I love this channel and I feel like this is the perfect way to start 2015! Thank you!

    1. +Yoga With Adriene Thank you SO much for doing this series, its exactly what I need! What the world needs actually. Absolutely love this.

  6. This is an amazing initiative, Adriene! You can feel the amount of passion and love you put into your videos, and how you really care about each and every soul wanting to learn Yoga. Thank you so much, and keep up the amazing work!

  7. I completed your 30 days of Yoga…. in 60 days, lol…. and I also quit smoking after I started, I’ve been trying to quit smoking for a long time, tried many things over the years and the crazy yoga moves you showed me actually did it (9 weeks smoke free). AWESOME!!! THANKS!!!  Great Videos!  MWAH!!! Oh, and you’re pretty cute/silly too! Haha.

  8. FEEDBACK after 30 Days. I just finished 30 Days of Yoga (in about 50 days..) and I want to leave a Feedback for whomever stumbles upon this. I am a 24 year old male chemistry student, just for the record. I recommend to every human being to try out this set of yoga-videos, more so than any other yoga course, be it a group class or other youtube videos. Here’s why:

Adriene’s videos are an approach to modern yoga not as a universal, dogmatic and strictly defined practice, but rather a personal and individual one (“there are no rules”). Everyone is different and yoga is about creating awareness for what is going on in your body and mind, you have to develop (and you will) a feeling for what your body wants, a feeling for sore muscles and which positions relieve that soreness, a feeling for a stressed mind and how you can relieve that stress, calm down and recover your energy. Not only will you find the fitness and sport part of yoga but also the meditative aspects and the importance of mindfulness, in a simple, down-to-earth manner. This is a practical, straightforward and completely free set of videos that introduces you to what modern yoga can be all about, in my opinion.

    Thank you, Adriene!

  9. So half a year ago, I started being unhappy about my body. I would say I wasn’t fat, but I sure was a little a chubby. I hoped the puberty will repair it all, but then I decided to change. I started with pilates on YouTube and spent 5 months making myself do that two short intense videos for abs and legs. It worked. I would say I’m more toned now, but the stress of beginning school again and all that depression and sad thoughts I sometimes have, made me want to stop and just cry. I was too lazy to do that same boring exercise again and again and it somehow made me very annoyed. Few days ago I tried Yoga. I suddenly realised that for my calm, introvertal and very stressing self is the relaxing and slow Yoga MUCH better that the fast and intense workouts I’ve been doing. Doing Yoga is a while I have for myself, just me and the blanket. It made me be really looking towards exercising. I feel so better now! Thank you so much Adrienne ❤ Starting the Day 1 tommorrow!!!

  10. Today, I was looking for yoga for back and found your channel – you are such a sun! So positive and funny!
I subsribed for yoga challenge today, and guess what? when I received the messages, I was reading them in my head with Your voice! was fun! Gonna start tomorrow, and now, going to print the calendar!Gonna be cool!

  11. After finishing first 30 days of Yoga I came back here to share my own experience!
    DO IT!
I loved it. I was never a “yogi” before this video and found most yoga classes to be boring or too demanding but Adriene really is something else.
My favorite moment in a day is coming home and rolling out my mat, my little practice-me time under her guidance!
It is so soothing, relaxing and simply wonderful.
I am far more flexible, stronger and relaxed than I was 30 (35) days ago. There were times when I skipped the day, gave 90 %, but I kept following this amazing routine and I did not regret it.
So if you are wondering, do I have time, can I do it, do I really need it,.. my answer is ROLL OUT YOUR MAT and just DO IT!
    It feels amazing.
P.S. I am aware that it might seem as if I am overreacting but I really am not. This changed my life and I will do it again 😀 And Adriene, darling if you ever read this, THANK YOU!!! <3

    1. You do, but it’s through calming the parasympathetic nervous system — relaxing from stress — that is the magic.

    2. I lost 5 pounds. But this was not the main reason I loved it so much. I never wanted to lose weight, I just wanted to be more flexible and more aware. I had a neck injury afterwards and now I am recovering with the help of Yoga., <3.

    3. You lost weight with the ’30 days of yoga’? I am just really trying to tone up…wondering if that helped you!

    4. Losing weight and toning up is basically the same thing. There is no excercise in the world that “tones” you. Eat less or train more = Weight loss = Tone up (Except if you lose muscle, but that won’t happen if you avoid the extremes).

    5. Andreas Nestor Losing weight and toning up are different things. When people talk about toning up, it generally means strengthening muscles and having muscles which are firm and have good shape and definition. You can do this at any size and weight. In fact gaining muscles can increase your weight because muscle weighs more than fat. However having more muscle mass raises your metabolism which does help you burn more calories so you lose more fat as it burns to give you energy. Losing fat may also help you look more toned because then the underlying muscle is more visible. For example, you can have ‘killer’ abs but unless you are very slim, you will never have a ‘six pack’ look for your abdomen because your tummy will be over the top.

  12. I’m staring this in October so I can do it all throughout the month. I’ll do that Yoga for Complete Beginners on the 1st and then the #30daysofyoga for the remainder of the month. very excited

    1. +PolliitoAle I did it this morning and either it was a lot harder for Day 1 than I was expecting, or I am that much out of shape. LOL Either way, I’m looking forward to the video tomorrow.

  13. Bout to start this series again. I remember this being way more difficult after my introduction to you on Yoga camp I believe. Here’s to old journeys relived!
