Join Adriene on Day 5 of The 30 Days of Yoga journey! Feel Alive Flow! This practice will help you shake off the blues to feel revitalized and fresh again!

Use this Day 5 practice to check in with the breath. Let the breath be the soundtrack to this practice. Notice what it feels like to be ALIVE today. Meet your edge but don't take anything too seriously. Today is a reminder to have some fun! Smile and stretch it out. Give thanks! You are ALIVE! Yoga helps up notice what it feels like to be alive and in the moment. Give thanks and enjoy!

  1. Adriene, will you keep this 30-day series on your channel? As I cannot start yet but will begin later in the month. Thank you so much for offering such a generous gift to us all!

    1. +Night Shadow you dont need to stretch since yoga is technically stretching, but its good to do a few jumping jacks before you start in order to warm up the muscles.

    2. +Night Shadow what kaitlin said is true but you can choose some postures if you feel that your body needs it to prepare you for any secuence. I mean nobody is the same so, some times you need some “extra love” in a particular spot. I particulary like to stay a couple of minutes in childs pose before doing anything because my low back is kind of special this days. A forward fold is good to start too. And you could do some stretching for the feet and hands specificaly as is no usual to put atention on those spots, thougt adriene tries to call the atention for those spots in some of the secuences. πŸ™‚

  2. felt all out of alignment today and annoyed with myself…personally i’m glad this was a shorter video as i’m short on patience today! i appreciate you giving us all a help toward showing up, whether it’s for 16 minutes or 36. for me, showing up is half the battle.

  3. I tend to only focus on these excercises when doing them, but if anything distracts me it’s the thought of “damn, I really need to vacuum more”.

    1. +ron mogerΒ KNOW THE FEELING: had to stop half-way to vacuum, then continue. just kept thinking “I CAN’T FOCUS WITH THIS FLOOR GOING ON”. so only choice was to stop and clean.

    2. +ron mogerΒ I’m using mindfulness to escape the busy-ness and let the to-do-list-to-be-a-perfect-person go.

  5. I am definitely seeing arm strength improvement but the breathing makes me yawn so much! What am I doing wrong?

    1. +Kamille Rose diet and sleep and stress are factors that may influence this. Like, are you getting enough sleep? are you eating the right fats and protein and complex carbs for energy and how you are handling stress. Yoga has a gentle way of making you aware of things we may need to change to be healthier.

  6. Ms. Adriene, MY HEELS TOUCHED THE FLOOR !! I didn’t think it would happen so soon. Since the first day ( whenever I’m not doing the actual workout ) I’ve been stretching all the time, and a lot before bed. And this morning I went into downward facing dog and all of a sudden they were on the floor and I was like “holy CRAP!!” I am so happy. Just thought I’d tell you and especially thank you for all of your work. Thanks for motivating me to come to the mat and put in work, and find serenity at such an early time in my life. I’m definitely looking forward to the next 25 days becauee of this small victory.

    2. OMG! Mine too!! I am a 6’02 and 225 pounds no yoga type of guy but I hurt my shoulders lifting weights and thought I would try yoga. 5 days in and I can’t believe my heels touched the floor.

  7. Could you do a hands-free yoga series? I have very delicate wrists but I REALLY love your channel and would like a 30 day set that I could use every day.

    1. +Fisqui1 They will, I also didnt have any strenght into my wrist but as I continued now I can do everything without any struggle. don’t give up

  8. Adriene, I want to thank you so much for posting these videos at no cost to your viewers. I suffer from Crohn’s Disease and during a flare (like I am in now), I am unable to go to the gym or do anything strenuous. Being able to practice yoga in my home with your smiling face every day not only helps me physically (calming inflammation) but mentally as well. The gift you’ve given us all is priceless.     1. 15 and this is really helping. I’m starting a new school that’s going to be a lot harder than normal and have been going through a lot of family stuff lately and yoga helps me relax and unwind and have a little me time in all the stress!

    2. It’s January 3rd and I’m doing this to start my year right, to change and be better person and also love myself. 16 and going strong!

    1. this is literally my goal. touching the met with my heels and also being able to touch my feet whenever i am sitting or standing lol. because i fail miserable at it.
